Let It Flow Exteriors is committed to safeguarding the personal information of our customers. We collect and manage your personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act and all other applicable laws within Canada. This policy outlines all information regarding the information we collect, what we do with it, and so forth.

What is personal information?

Personal information is all information that allows an individual to be identified. This is includes an individuals name, address, phone number, email address, postal code, age, sex, marital status, family status, financial information, and any information regarding the individuals project such as photos and proper descriptions.

What Personal Information do we Collect?

We collect the following information about our customers for the purposes of providing services such as:

  • Contacting customers to set up an appointment
  • Contacting customers in regards to satisfaction with our products and services
  • Opening and managing customer accounts
  • Enrolling customers in service programs
  • Providing warranty
  • Notifying customers of upcoming work
  • Proving promotional material
  • Conducting installation services
  • All other applicable matters

We collect customer data directly from our customers. this may be done either in person, over the phone, by email, through website submission for, over text message, etc. All customers are informed of data collection other than when clients volunteer information for obvious purposes (for example, filling out a submission form for a quote).

Consent

We ask for consent to collect, use or disclose customer personal information, except in specific circumstances where collection, use or disclosure without consent is authorized or required by law. We may assume your consent in cases where you volunteer information for an obvious purpose.

We ask for your express consent for some purposes and may not be able to provide certain services if you are unwilling to provide consent to the collection, use or disclosure of certain personal information. Where express consent is needed, we will normally ask clients to provide their consent orally (in person, by telephone), in writing (by signing a consent form, by checking a box on a form), or electronically (by clicking a button).

A customer may withdraw consent to the use and disclosure of personal information at any time, unless the personal information is necessary for us to fulfill our legal obligations. We respect your decision, but we may not be able to provide you with certain products, services, and/or warranty if we do not have the necessary personal information.

We may collect, use or disclose customer personal information without consent only as authorized by law. For example, we may not request consent when the collection, use or disclosure is reasonable for an investigation or legal proceeding, to collect a debt owed to our organization, in an emergency that threatens life, health or safety, or when the personal information is from a public telephone directory. We may collect, use or disclose customer personal information without consent to another trusted organization in order to asses and/or complete the scope of work on a project that has been initiated by the customer.

We collect Cookies for various reasons. We may use Cookies to obtain information about the preferences of our visitors and the services they select, the pages the access, and the actions they take on our website. We may also use Cookies for marketing purposes, such as measuring the success of a certain promotional campaign. We may also use Cookies for security purposes, such as to protect users. A example of this would be automatically logging out an authorized user after 10 minutes of inactivity.

how do we keep your data safe?

We protect our customers personal information in a manner that is appropriate for the sensitivity of the information. meaning only select, qualified employees are able to access sensitive customer information. We take every reasonable effort to prevent any loss, misuse, disclosure or modification of personal information, as well as any unauthorized access to personal information.

We will notify the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, without delay, of a security breach affecting personal information if it creates a real risk of significant harm to individuals.

We will retain customer personal information only as long as is reasonable to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected or for legal and business purposes.

We render customer personal information non-identifying, or destroy records containing personal information once the information is no longer needed.

We use appropriate security measures when destroying client personal information, including shredding paper records and permanently deleting electronic records.

Access to your personal information

Our customers have the right to access their personal information regarding any records that is in our custody or control. under the Personal Information Protection Act we are required to refuse access to information that would reveal personal information about an individual, therefore individuals must request the information themselves. We are also authorized to refuse access to personal information if disclosure would reveal confident business information.

if refusal of information takes place we will provide you with an explanation of the refusal.

Your may request access to your personal information by writing to the owners of Let It Flow exteriors via our contact form, providing sufficient information in your written requestion to identify the information requestion. We will respond within 45 calendar days.
